Procurement Specialist

Job Description Job Description Procurement Specialist is needed for a sporting goods importer and manufacturer located in Gardena, CA.
The ideal candidate will be required to:
· Maintain a strong professional relationship and communicate effectively with overseas suppliers and company management. Coordinate with logistics to bring products into our distribution warehouses, or direct import to customers distribution centers.
· Negotiate with a wide variety of vendors on a daily basis
· Support cross-functional teams, such as the Sales Department, Logistics, Operations, A/P etc.
· Coordinate sample evaluations, label and material compliance, and other related administrative work.
· Create demand and inventory forecast based on seasonal and annuals sales trends.
· Communicate effectively with management on purchasing requirements and create purchase orders as needed
· QC and evaluate all product specifications and details to company standards
· Update inventory and pricing as needed
· Track Inventory in all warehouse locations
· Assist with freight and transportation arrangement as needed
· Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
· Must be bilingual in Mandarin - reading, writing, and speaking.
· 1+ years of experience as a buyer or purchasing role.
· Experience in supply chain management
· Experience working with forwarder and freight companies
· Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications with a strong emphasis on Excel.
· Strong attention to details and highly organized
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills
· Experience with Sage100 is a plus.
