Retail Team Leader

Retail Team Leader (Key Holder) Location: 2402 45th St, Galveston TX 77550 Pay: $19+ per hour (based on experience) Responsibilities Opening and closing the store Assisting with daily store operations and tasks Unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing and transferring to sales floor Maintaining product rotation, food handling, receiving, and quality assurance Providing exceptional customer service; building relationships, problem solving, and driving sales Cash handling: bank deposits, giving change, setting up and counting registers Building and training the sales associate team; supervising assigned duties Performing occasional alarm response during non‑working hours and covering shifts at other local stores as needed Qualifications 1‑2 years of retail experience with increasing responsibility Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; frequent lifting above shoulder height Flexible, full‑time schedule availability, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays Safe operation of power equipment (slicing machines, walk‑ie lifts, forklifts where applicable) Minimum age 18 years High School Diploma or equivalent Successful completion of pre‑employment checks: drug screen and criminal background check Basic computer skills Benefits Health care benefits available first day Immediate retirement savings 401(k) with company match Profit‑sharing after 90 days Holidays closed: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Easter Equal Employment Opportunity Equal Employment Opportunity is a matter of policy at Gordon Food Service, Inc. and we are committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
