Doctor of Medicine | Oncology - General/Other Location: Ephrata, PA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Hematology/Oncology Physician We are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our team starting July 27, 2026. This is a full-time, ongoing assignment with a minimum commitment of 6 months. The position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $498.86, along with comprehensive benefits and support. Job Responsibilities: Provide specialty care in adult Hematology and Oncology in a rural community setting Manage an established patient panel, averaging 15 patients per day Diagnose and treat solid tumor oncology, benign hematology, and malignant hematology cases Assist with infusion and treatment at an onsite 14-chair infusion center and 2-bed infusion room Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with an onsite team of 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians, 3 APPs, and support staff Conduct bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and port access procedures (not required to perform BMT consults/care) Support hospital and ER teams, manage inpatient calls, and provide outpatient care Schedule & Coverage: Full-time, five 8-hour clinic days per week Clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the first patient scheduled at 8:15/8:30 AM and the last at 3:30 PM 30-minute lunch included Weekend coverage: 2 weekends/month, 24-hour call including 2 hours of rounding on Saturday and Sunday Night call: 4:15 PM – 8:00 AM, averaging 2-3 patient calls in the evening, with rare calls after 9:00 PM Weeknight call: 4:15 PM – 8:00 AM Call type includes inpatient and phone call coverage; hospitalists handle admissions Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology DEA license required Minimum 1-year experience preferred PA license or IMLC certification Standard credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days; temporary privileges available Support Structure: Onsite support from 1.3 Hematology/Oncology physicians, 3 APPs, and an on-site pharmacist Electronic Medical Records via EPIC Benefits: Competitive pay with weekly direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated team supporting your success VHS is an Equal Opportunity Employer (“EEO”)/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/E-Verify Employer and welcomes all to apply #LiveYourLife #VHSCC Benefits Licensure -Certification - Travel and other reimbursements when applicable
