Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Production Supervisor

Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 / hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Saturdays as needed) | 11–12 hour shifts

Hours: On-site by 5:30 AM sharp

Language Requirement: Bilingual (English & Spanish) Required

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees daily machine shop and fabrication operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and high quality. This hands-on position leads production personnel in machining, metal cutting, manual threading, and material handling while coordinating department workflows, maintaining schedules, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Direct daily workflow, material handling, and labor schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
Supervise setup, operation, and quality control for manual lathes, threading machines, and saws.
Enforce strict compliance with OSHA standards, machine guarding, and safety protocols.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to maintain tight dimensional tolerances.
Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues, supporting preventative maintenance programs.
Coach, develop, and train team members while managing workplace communication and conflict resolution.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with manual engine lathes, rod threading lathes, vertical/horizontal saws, and hydraulic ironworkers (structural steel, rebar, or pipe experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of machining tolerances, quality inspection, and material handling (cranes/forklifts).
Systems: Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
Requirements:
- Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong organizational, blueprint reading, and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $27.00 Per Hour
