Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Gainesville Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for overseeing general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate month-end and year-end closings. The Senior Accountant will manage accounts payable and receivable processes, reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, and support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining compliance with GAAP, assisting with audits and tax filings, and developing and improving internal financial controls and procedures. The role collaborates closely with operations, project management, and leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and long-term business growth.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and GAAP compliance.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management to support business planning and operational decision-making.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid Excel skills for reconciliations, data analysis, and financial modeling.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of tax regulations, audit processes, and internal controls to help maintain compliance and reduce financial risk.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is preferred.
- Experience in construction, mechanical services, or a similar project-based industry, including job costing and WIP reporting, is beneficial.
