Senior Business Analyst - Banking Business Analytics

Job Description:Leading Bank is seeking a hands-on Senior Business Analyst to drive data-driven insights, process optimization, and digital workflow modernization across the bank’s Retail, Commercial, Corporate, Treasury, Payments, and Digital Banking businesses. This role is responsible for analyzing customer, product, and operational data; designing scalable business processes; and partnering across business lines, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Compliance to deliver measurable improvements in customer experience, operational efficiency, and portfolio performance.The Senior Business Analyst will play a central role in shaping how East West Bank uses analytics, automation, and modern digital tools to improve growth, profitability, and operational effectiveness across all banking segments.Responsibilities:Enterprise Banking Analytics & InsightsAnalyze customer, product, and operational data across Retail, Commercial, and Corporate Banking to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.Build dashboards, KPI frameworks, and executive reporting that track portfolio health, customer behavior, lending performance, treasury services utilization, branch/channel performance, and digital adoption.Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for product, pricing, credit, treasury management, and operational teams.Process & Workflow OptimizationMap and redesign end-to-end workflows across deposits, lending, treasury services, payments, FX, onboarding, servicing, fraud/exception handling, and digital channel journeys.Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work, improve straight-through processing, and enhance customer experience across both Retail and Commercial operations.Partner with Operations to streamline reconciliation, reporting, exception management, and servicing processes.Digital Banking & Customer ExperienceSupport enhancements to online, mobile, and commercial digital platforms by analyzing usage patterns, friction points, and feature adoption.Develop user stories, functional requirements, and process flows for digital banking improvements across consumer and business banking.Collaborate with UX, Product, and Technology teams to validate concepts through prototypes and iterative testing.Cross-Functional DeliveryWork closely with Retail, Commercial, Treasury, Payments, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Data teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory, operational, and customer-experience requirements.Facilitate agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization based on business value.Ensure all requirements are audit-traceable, well-documented, and aligned with enterprise governance standards.Performance MeasurementDefine and track outcome-based KPIs for all initiatives, including deposit growth, lending efficiency, treasury product adoption, digital engagement, operational efficiency, and risk reduction.Prepare executive-level reporting and insights for senior banking leadership.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:8+ years of experience in business analysis, process design, or workflow transformation within Retail, Commercial, Corporate, or Treasury Banking.Strong domain knowledge in deposits, consumer lending, commercial lending, treasury services, payments, FX, onboarding, servicing workflows, and digital banking platforms.Proficiency in business analysis methodologies: BPMN process modeling, use case development, user stories, functional specifications, and data flow mapping.Experience with banking analytics, including KPI design, dashboarding, segmentation, portfolio analysis, and customer behavior insights.Understanding of core banking systems, treasury platforms, payment rails, FX engines, and digital banking systems (FIS, Fiserv, Temenos, Jack Henry, Thought Machine, or similar).Strong grasp of risk, compliance, and regulatory expectations across consumer and commercial banking (KYC, AML, BSA, Reg E, UDAAP, commercial credit policies, etc.).Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex findings clearly to senior leadership.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Tools & TechnologiesAnalysis & Process Design: Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, Confluence, JIRAData & Analytics: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, DatabricksDigital & CX: Figma, Balsamiq, journey mapping toolsAutomation & Integration: API literacy, workflow automation tools, low-code platformsAgile Delivery: Scrum/SAFe frameworks, Design ThinkingKeywords: Power BI, Reporting, Retail Banking, Business Analytics, SQL, Azure, AWSQualified candidates, please send your resume to Ilana Raz, View email address on click.appcast.io | For more opportunities, please visit
