If that is who you are, then we want you on our team! We are searching for a Maintenance Technician for our Dallas, TX facility, 12111 Ford Road, Dallas, TX 75234. The Maintenance Technician contributes to quality, reliability, and production schedule by maintaining and repairing the manufacturing equipment. PAY: Depending on experience, with a 5% shift differential for 2nd shift SHIFT: Monday-Thursday, 10 hours/day (4:30pm to 3:00am), with overtime KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Answers and responds to calls for assistance from production lines and fellow maintenance technicians. Complete preventive maintenance requirements to ensure reliability of production machinery such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Employee must be able to utilize diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions. Proficiently utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System to track and perform assigned tasks. Further the utilization of the CMMS by adding, clarifying, and updating PMs and system information. Calls upon engineering or OEM resources to solve equipment breakdown or malfunction issues. Works well with limited supervision and seeks out work when not actively engaged in assigned tasks. Locates root causes of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Safely disassembles, repairs, or replaces defective machine components, and ensures that repairs are complete, and the machinery is functioning properly. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of equipment components by inspecting parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments with appropriate tools. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provides mechanical maintenance and machine operation information by answering questions and requests. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, establishing personal networks. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contributes to team efforts by problem-solving and completing tasks on large, fast-tracked, or difficult opportunities. Employee must possess a positive work ethic and a desire to contribute to our overall success by being an active and collaborative contributor. Utilize computer CMMS maintenance work system (Limble) to manage work orders and report time required for day to day tasks. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED. Completion of Technical School or Apprentice Program preferred. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting as a Maintenance Technician or trade professional desired. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Required to engage in activities that are consistent with a maintenance position, including using hand tools, power tools and other devices that require care to avoid injury to self and others. Capable of performing troubleshooting on a wide range of equipment including extruders, packaging machines, injection molders, blenders, etc. Familiar with common troubleshooting tools. Experience with specialized skills such as welding, industrial wiring, soldering, machining, and rigging are a plus. WORKING CONDITIONS Production floor. May be required to operate on or around heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lift, or large moving machinery. Must be able to be respirator trained for Half and Full-Face respirators. Confined space entry will be required on an infrequent basis.
