Human Resources Generalist

Our client, a leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join its HR team. This is a broad, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple HR functions and competing priorities rather than specializing in one area. Locations: Washington, DC or Dayton, OH Key Responsibilities Serve as an HR business partner to managers and administrative teams Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and new-hire orientation Handle employee relations matters and workplace investigations Support performance management, employee development, and retention Assist with compensation reviews, job descriptions, and market analysis Support HR policies, employment law compliance, and risk management Coordinate training and professional development initiatives Assist with leaves, accommodations, and return-to-work matters Qualifications 4+ years of well-rounded Human Resources experience Employee relations experience strongly preferred Experience managing multiple HR responsibilities simultaneously Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws Excellent communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills HRIS and Microsoft Office proficiency Law firm or professional services experience is a plus Compensation: $89,000–$111,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
