Registered Veterinary Technician Manager

Los Gatos Dog & Cat Hospital is growing and we are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician Manager to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled RVT leader who enjoys balancing hands‑on patient care with team leadership, workflow management, and staff development in a collaborative general practice environment. In This Role, You Will Oversee daily hospital flow and help ensure efficient, high-quality patient care throughout the day Delegate tasks appropriately to support workflow efficiency and team success Support onboarding, training, and continued development of clinical support staff Create and manage staff schedules based on the needs of the business Assist the Hospital Manager with annual performance reviews and coaching conversations Assist with recruiting, candidate screening, and hiring support staff team members Help manage inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels for hospital operations Support veterinarians and clinical staff during outpatient appointments, surgery, and dental procedures as needed Foster a positive, accountable, team‑oriented culture focused on excellent patient and client care Schedule This is a full‑time position with flexible scheduling availability required, including Saturdays, to support the needs of the hospital. Shifts are typically scheduled as 4/10s between 8am‑6pm. Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set Current Registered Veterinary Technician License in the state of California 5+ years of veterinary clinical experience is required Previous Supervisor or Management experience is required Strong understanding of hospital workflow, patient care standards, and team delegation Experience training and mentoring veterinary support staff Comfortable navigating difficult conversations while maintaining a positive team environment Proficiency in the following skills: Venipuncture and cystocentesis Placing IV catheters and administering injections Anesthetic induction and monitoring Dental prophylaxis and radiographs About Us Los Gatos Dog & Cat Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility located in the heart of Los Gatos, CA.
