X-Ray Technologist - Night Shift (13 Weeks)

Schedule

This is a night shift position working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from Friday to Sunday, 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM. On-call shifts are required at a rate of 3 shifts per month.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-Ray Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various imaging procedures, including but not limited to abdomen, chest, and extremity imaging. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort.
• Utilize proper radiographic techniques and protocols to obtain high-quality images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and provide explanations regarding procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including radiation safety protocols.
• Assist in the preparation and administration of contrast media as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system (Epic).
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy permit preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in imaging, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.
