Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Home Health Physical Therapist for a travel job in Largo, Florida.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Physical Therapist\n Discipline: Therapy\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 20 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 20 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment requiring at least 1 year of home health experience and a valid state PT license.Details\n \n Home health setting providing skilled visits to patients across Pinellas County\n Patient population includes med/surg, cardiac, orthopedic (hips/knees/shoulders), post-surgical, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, falls, weakness, Parkinson's, failure to thrive, respiratory, neuro, trachs, trauma, AKA/BKA, and ADL-focused cases\n Serves Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients\n Completes 6-8 home skilled visits per day (minimum 6 points, may increase by manager discretion)\n 1-2 weekends required per contract\n Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM\n Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs\n Uses BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems\n Provided with a laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printer\n Requirements\n \n Minimum 1 year of experience required, including home health experience\n Current BLS certification required\n State PT license required if applicable\n OASIS training preferred\n Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits\n Proficiency with equipment including gait belts, rolling walkers, sit-to-stand lifts, sliding boards, soft/hard collars, standard walkers, supplemental oxygen delivery, upper extremity prosthetics, and wheelchair assessment\n Skilled in assessment, ortho and neuro treatment, cardiopulmonary/circulatory care, home exercise programs, patient/family education, and documentation including OASIS and billing\n Must be COVID vaccinated or have exemption on file\n Must have flu shot or declination, with mandatory mask wearing at all times if declined\n Additional Information\n \n Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, and education for patients with orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary conditions\n Duties include recognizing and reporting signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse\n Focus on safety and injury prevention throughout home visits\n Any solid color scrubs are acceptable attire\n Smoke-free facility policy in effect\n First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel assignment experience\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-738896.
