Emergency Room Registered Nurse

We are hiring an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care at HCA Florida West Marion Hospital. Location: HCA Florida West Marion Hospital in West Marion County. Responsibilities Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about the medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology. Educates patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families for self-management. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (AHA) obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention obtained within 6 months of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. Associate Degree. No travel required.
