Technical Support TechnicianOur client, a leading operator of large-scale data centers, is seeking a hands-on Technical Support Technician for a fully onsite, contract-to-hire position in Fairless Hills, PA. This role is ideal for early-career technicians eager to develop their skills in mission-critical data center operations. You will support critical infrastructure across facilities in various operational stages, ensuring the continuous operation of the site and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The position offers a clear path to permanent employment for the right candidate and requires participation in a 24/7 support model with occasional regional travel. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts (4x10), 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with weekend coverage subject to change. If you take ownership of your work, hold yourself to high safety and quality standards, and are eager to keep learning, we encourage you to apply.Fairless Hills, PAOn-Site Role$20–$25/hr (DOE)What You'll DoMove, install, and implement large enterprise hardware and equipment within the data center environmentInstall and patch fiber and copper cabling between equipment; support rack installationsIdentify, research, troubleshoot, and resolve technical hardware and infrastructure issues; document, track, and monitor problems through to timely resolutionRespond to requests for technical support across the site and follow well-established hardware installation and break-fix proceduresEnsure proper safety and security standards are maintained throughout all cabling and rack installation workSafely use material handling tools and equipmentParticipate in a 24/7 support model, including primary responder rotation and after-hours support as neededTravel within and outside the regional work area as requiredRegularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for heavier equipmentWork in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments; ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitationBending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a dayWhat You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ year of experience in technical or vocational roles (e.g., computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations)Ability to follow pre-established guidelines and procedures and work effectively under supervisionValid driver's license and access to reliable personal vehicle for regional travel (company transportation is not provided)Safety-first mindset with ownership, accountability, and commitment to continuous learningKnowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (preferred)Industry-standard certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+ (preferred)Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies (preferred)Ability to regularly lift/move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for heavier itemsComfortable working in 24/7 environments, including after-hours and primary responder rotationAbility to work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environmentsPhysical ability for bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periodsAbility to safely ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and gangways without limitationDisclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
