About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Financial Reporting with a focus on valuations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accurate valuations of companies, securities, and intangible assets across various industries. This involves utilizing proprietary quantitative valuation models, conducting in-depth market research, and managing valuation engagements from start to finish. The role also includes supervising junior staff, building and maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-ready work. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, with an MBA being preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years' of experience in a valuation or accounting firm is required, with a strong background in financial reporting, accounting, and valuation issues, as well as financial modeling. Direct experience in ASC 350/805 is essential, and a background in generating financial valuation models and common stock option valuations is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with ASC 718 and be well-versed in standard methodology practices. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online databases, are a must. The role demands a professional with strong writing and presentation skills, and the ability to conduct thorough research and analysis. U.S. citizenship or a green card is required.
