As an Unarmed Security Officer at a university location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed07:00 PM - 03:00 AMThur07:00 PM - 03:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Monitor access points and campus activity, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and document security-related incidents accurately. Assist with directions, escorts, and other campus support needs while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
