Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Security Checks in Norfolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming, professional environment. Job Schedule:
DayTimeTue01:30 PM - 09:30 PMFri05:30 AM - 01:30 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
