Forklift Operator

Under the direction of the Manager, the Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift or elevating platform, to push, lift, stack, or move products or materials by performing the following duties. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect. Responsibilities include: positioning forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, boxes, products, or materials and transporting load to designated area; unloading and stacking material by using lifting device; inventorying materials on work floor and in warehouse; loading or unloading materials onto/off pallets or lifting device; documenting information as per SOP; complying with company policies and procedures and maintaining regular work attendance; personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines; and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include: compliance with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training; 1-2 years of hi-lo driving experience; ability to read/write English; and ability to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely. Role's physical requirements include: ability to lift 50lbs; ability to stand for 8 hours; and ability to work in a physically challenging environment.
