• Start Date: Commence your locum tenens assignment ASAP, covering 4-6 shifts per month.
• Shift Schedule: Embrace the flexibility of both day and night shifts, each spanning 12 hours.
• Average Admissions: Expect an average of 1-2 admissions per day.
• Support Team: Work collaboratively with a dedicated support staff, including 2 RNs and 1 CNA.
• Emergency Room Volume: Manage an annual ER volume of 10,000 cases, providing diverse and engaging experiences.
• EMR System: Navigate efficiently through the Meditech EMR platform.
• Reason for Coverage: Fill the gap left by a part-time ER physician retiring at the end of December and another full-time ER physician departing for private practice in early December.
• Credentialing Timeframe: Benefit from medical staff temporary privileges in 30 days or less, while payor credentialing may extend up to 90 days or more.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Board Certification: Hold Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with ED experience - a mandatory requirement.
• State License: Possess an active MN License - a prerequisite for consideration. Alternatively, candidates with IMLC must have LOQ (Letter of Qualification) in hand at the time of submission.
• Life Support Certifications: Maintain current ACLS and PALS certifications - essential qualifications for this position.
• Trauma Certification: Possess either ATLS or CALS with a Trauma component certification. The site requires either one, not both.
• DEA Certification: Maintain an active DEA certification - a mandatory requirement.
• Availability Disclosure: Clearly state your availability for December onwards, specifying the number of shifts per month.
• Clean Background/Malpractice: Candidates with a clean background and malpractice record are highly preferred.
• Prior CHI/Dignity Facility Work: Disclose any previous work experience at CHI/Dignity facilities - a required piece of information.
