Application Engineer (Belgium)

LK Metrology designs and builds a wide range of automated coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and associated metrology software for the automotive, aerospace and medical industries, among others. A medium-sized company with experienced engineers and an extremely international character. We are looking for an enthusiastic Application Engineer Europe based in Leuven/België. We are open to recently graduated engineers or equivalent in passion and experience. What are your main tasks and responsibilities? After extensive training in our European offices, you become a technical expert in automated 3D measurements with in-depth knowledge of the metrology software within the LK group. You discuss technical problems and develop solutions together with new and existing customers, making an important contribution to the customer satisfaction. You deliver demonstrations, training, and helpdesk support. You provide first-line support to customers and distributors with in-depth technical expertise. Archiving customer cases, bug reporting and feature requests within the software. You become a consultant in measuring technical drawings with an expertise in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). You follow the latest trends in Industry 4.0, closed-loop manufacturing, and statistical process control (SPC). You provide constructive feedback to software engineering to help improve the product for the benefit of our customers. Mostly travel within Europe, but sporadic worldwide travel may also be required. What is your profile? You have a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree with a passion for technology. You speak and write English fluently. Knowledge of German or French is a plus. You have a high sense of responsibility and can work independently. You are customer-oriented and maintain a pleasant and professional relation with the customer. A category B driving licence is required. You are very flexible, and you can travel abroad regularly.
