As a HR Generalist you will collaborate with peers, People Business Partners, and our Centers of Excellence (COE’s) across the People Team to propel the organization forward. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our Inflight department which includes our Flight Attendants! Support leaders of the Inflight Performance Team in conducting thorough, timely and consistent team member relations investigations. Provide guidance to leaders on performance management, career development, and progressive discipline for both represented and non-represented team members. Serve as a trusted resource to support mediation and resolution of HR-related queries and concerns from team members. Leverage data and workforce metrics to proactively identify trends and recommends improvements. Work closely with the People Business Partner on strategic imperatives: talent strategy, learning and development, ways to optimize performance and build a culture of engagement. Partners with ADA team to evaluate accommodation requests and guide leaders on appropriate next steps. Support leaders with the talent management cycle including recruiting activities, onboarding plan support and offboarding. All you’ll need for success Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or related field or equivalent experience/ training 3 years of human resources experience Effective written and verbal communication skills Professional maturity to handle confidential information with discretion Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience Familiar with state and federal employment laws including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc. PHR/SPHR certification Experience in providing guidance and counsel to leaders Strong business and HR acumen Experience reporting, analyzing, interpreting, and critical thinking Experience understanding the logistics of Collective Bargaining Agreements Skills, Licenses, and Certifications Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated Strong initiative and high judgment abilities / skills What you’ll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
