Inpatient Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Department: East | Nursing Services Scope of Position The Ohio State University Medical Center’s mission is focused on integrating quality patient care, education, and research. Position Summary The RN is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The RN is responsible for assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients. The RN prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership to, and development of, the patient care team. This position is primarily in the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Unit, however the RN may be required to provide patient care resources to other diagnostic and procedural areas. Minimum Qualifications For Hire: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Current Ohio license or interim permit. Ongoing: Maintains and seeks new knowledge related to evidence based practice, patient care issues, quality improvement, cost reduction, current policies, procedures, and protocols. Maintains current Ohio RN license. Meets mandatory educational and health requirements. Demonstrates computer skills required to meet job functions.
