Senior Software Engineer (C#/Python/Azure) | Elite Quant Hedge Fund | Boston

One of Boston’s most prestigious quantitative investment firms ($50+ Billion AUM) has an exciting opportunity to join a senior engineering team that’s responsible for designing, building, and supporting this firm’s most business-critical applications: specifically, their trading, investment, risk, and compliance systems. This role will work directly with front office teams, so you’ll have extensive opportunity to work directly with traders and portfolio managers to gather requirements, build solutions, solicit feedback, and address high-priority issues. Most of the engineers have worked together on this team for 8+ years, so they have a tight-knit, collaborative, open culture, and significant institutional knowledge, engineering, and domain expertise.

This team rarely hires due to their outstanding retention, so this is a unique opportunity to join a high-profile team building revenue generating applications at one of the top quantitative hedge funds in Boston!

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and support trading, investment, risk, and compliance systems
• Work directly with front, middle, and back-office teams to gather requirements, collaborate on design, and address high priority issues

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience building applications with Python or C#
• Experience with relational databases (ideally SQL/SQL Server/ PostgreSQL/etc)
• Experience building applications on Azure or AWS

Nice to have (definitely not required):

• Experience building applications for trading, investment management, risk, or compliance (or financial services in general)
• Experience with C# and Python
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Azure App services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Authentication/authorization in Azure
• Experience with Angular or React
