Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients across different age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring safe and accurate procedures.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate and thorough records of all sample collections and related documentation.
• Create a trustworthy and confident environment for patients by explaining procedures clearly and professionally.
• Promote a safe, clean, and professional environment throughout all tasks.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence in daily activities.
• Adhere to confidentiality standards and handle patient information with sensitivity.
• Perform specimen processing and collection duties with precision and efficiency, aligning with organizational practices.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong keyboard and data entry skills.
• Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to explain procedures and build trust with patients.
• Reliable transportation to the worksite.
• Must be able to be on time and stay for the entire shift.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is a plus.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Must list home city/commute time to the job site within 20-25 minutes on the resume.
• Candidates currently students must have schedules that do not conflict with assigned shifts.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping.
