As a Security Officer - Financial Center Alarm Monitor Center in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while using agile and reliable approaches to daily responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, offices, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations.
• Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, completing routine logs and reports, and assisting with customer questions, directions, and/or other security-related needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
