The company is mid-sized with an emphasis on stable project teams and reasonable work-life balance. This role is open to an established Superintendent or an Assistant Superintendent ready to step up.Schedule: Full-time, on-site at Columbus-area project locations. Standard construction hours with occasional adjustments based on project phase.Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Full benefits package included.What You'll DoThe Superintendent runs the day-to-day field operations on assigned projects, typically college and university buildings or healthcare facilities for major hospital systems. You will own the construction schedule from preconstruction handoff through closeout, coordinating self-perform crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep work sequenced and on track.You will partner with the Project Manager on budget tracking, RFIs, submittals, and change orders, while owning all field-level decisions. Daily responsibilities include running subcontractor coordination meetings, walking the site to verify quality and progress against plans and specs, and maintaining the look-ahead schedule. You will be the primary on-site point of contact for the owner, architect, and inspectors, providing regular updates and resolving field issues as they come up.Safety leadership is central to the role. You will enforce OSHA standards and the company safety program, conduct site inspections, run toolbox talks, and document incidents and near-misses.
