Qualified applicants will be contacted as a teaching need arises. Responsible for providing a quality learning experience for Marymount University students on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty are professionals with the responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for Marymount University students on a semester basis. The relationship of the adjunct faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning. Each adjunct is hired to instruct a particular course(s) within a department. The chair of the department will review all duties as assigned, particular to course being contracted to be taught. Major Duties And Responsibilities Teach designated courses Maintains office hours as needed Other Duties And Assignments Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education Bachelors in nursing or a related field Current RN license; VA required or Compact, DC preferred Master’s degree required; PhD degree in related field preferred for graduate teaching Compensation/Benefits Adjuncts receive remuneration on a semester basis, which starts at $2,160 per semester based on a 40 hour clinical rotation. They may make their own contribution to a 403b retirement plan.
