Bilingual Shipping Clerk – PM Shift

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule:

Monday:5:00 PM – 12:00 AM (occasionally until 2:00 AM)
Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Thursday:3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Friday: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM (occasionally until 2:00 AM)

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support shipping and receiving operations during the afternoon and evening shift. This position will serve as a primary point of contact for drivers, vendors, and visitors arriving for pickups and deliveries. The Shipping Clerk will verify documentation, provide instructions, maintain accurate shipment records, and communicate with warehouse staff and management. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are required, as the position involves regularly communicating with Spanish-speaking drivers and warehouse personnel. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to provide clear and courteous instructions while accurately handling shipping documentation and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

* Greet and assist drivers, vendors, and visitors upon arrival.
* Communicate clearly with drivers and provide directions and instructions for pickups and deliveries in **English and Spanish**.
* Verify shipping, receiving, and delivery documentation for accuracy and completeness.
* Check drivers in and direct them to the appropriate loading or unloading areas.
* Answer questions and assist with basic issues related to shipping and receiving activities.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, and management throughout the shipping process.
* Enter and maintain accurate shipment and delivery information.
* Ensure all shipping and receiving paperwork is completed accurately and filed appropriately.
* Maintain organized records and documentation.
* Assist with general office and administrative duties as needed.
* Maintain a professional, organized, and customer-focused work environment.
* Follow company procedures and safety requirements at all times.

Required Qualifications

*Fluent in English and Spanish – required.
* Must be comfortable speaking Spanish with drivers, warehouse employees, and visitors.
* Previous experience in clerical, administrative, customer service, shipping, receiving, logistics, transportation, or warehouse support required.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Comfortable working in an office and warehouse environment.
* Ability to accurately handle paperwork, records, and data entry.
* Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
* Dependable and able to consistently work the required schedule.
* Must be available for occasional extended hours until approximately 2:00 AM on Monday and Friday.
*Must not have a conflicting second job due to the varying afternoon/evening schedule and occasional late hours.
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist wherever needed.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations.
* Experience working directly with drivers, vendors, or delivery personnel.
* Recent college graduate or candidate seeking a long-term career opportunity.
* Experience with Microsoft Office, data entry, or shipping/receiving systems.
