Recreation Therapy Assistant

Great Summer Opportunity for Students! We are seeking compassionate and dependable students to support our senior residents this summer. This is a meaningful opportunity to gain experience in healthcare, build relationships, and make a real difference in people's lives. Pay Rate: $16.23 per hour GENERAL SCOPE: Assist the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with a variety of resident activity programs. EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: Ability to follow verbal and written directions, communicate effectively, and work with a team. High degree of reliability needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Help facilitate group and individual programs and activities as assigned.
• Once trained, provide safe methods of transportation for residents.
• Input statistics for attendance into tracking system.
• Monitor the safety of the residents during recreation therapy programs.
• All other job duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Experience or interest in working with older adults. Experience working in a youth or older adult recreation program.
