Position Overview

GD Resources is seeking qualified Child Caregivers to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations. The role focuses on ensuring the safety, supervision, and well-being of minor children in custody.

This is a 24/7 mission-critical role requiring professionalism, flexibility, and adherence to federal standards.

Note: Temporary or soft-sided facilities may also be utilized as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and care for minor children in custody
Monitor children continuously to ensure safety and well-being
Assist with hygiene, feeding, clothing, and daily care
Observe and report medical or emotional distress
Maintain logs and required documentation
Support recreational and daily activities
Communicate children’s rights and facility processes daily
Assist with inventory and supply management
Follow all safety, health, and trauma-informed care protocols

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 18 years old
Ability to pass CBP Background Investigation
Valid driver’s license
Strong communication skills (English required; Spanish preferred)
Ability to lift 40 lbs and work long shifts

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in childcare, healthcare, or social services
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Work Conditions

24/7 shift-based operations (including weekends and holidays)
Work performed in secure government facilities
Mixed-gender staffing required
