Part-Time Worship Leader Job Description Principle Function: The Worship Leader is responsible for leading the church in all areas related to worship. Therefore, the Worship Leader shall select and develop Christ-centered materials and resources related to worship, in conjunction with the Senior Pastor. He will work with the staff and volunteer leadership in regard to activities, policies and procedures that relate to this area of responsibility. He is to be actively aware of the overall ministry of the church and should take every opportunity to lead people to Christ and disciple believers to Christian maturity. Qualifications: 1. A man striving to grow and mature in his Christianwalk. 2. His doctrinal beliefs must align with the "2000 Baptist Faith & Message." 3. He is able to articulate his personal statement of faith. 4. A Gifted Worship Leader with ability to lead and teach worship to the church in an engaging manner. 5. Outgoing personality and strong people skills who must relate to all ages. 6. Able to work cooperatively as a team player with all members of the church staff. Duties: 1. Responsible for facilitating worship on Sundays and special services such as Easter, Christmas or other events in coordination with the Senior Pastor. 2. Select and develop worship music and resources. 3. Plan events and activities to promote strong bonds of Christian fellowship among the choir and praise team members. 4. Develop and publish a yearly worship ministry calendar with periodic updates and weekly promotion of events through the church website, newsletter, emails, announcements, etc. 5. Coordinate and provide for special music to include soloist, instrumentalists, quartets, etc. 6. Plan worship services in conjunction with the Senior Pastor. 7. Prepare and present budget requests for the Worship Ministry to the Finance Committee; maintain Worship Ministry expenses within the approved budget. 8. Responsible for coordinating and scheduling weekly practice with the praise team, providing them with the necessary materials needed, such as an order of worship song list, lyrics, etc. 9.
