Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Nights

Provides leadership and coordinates staffing in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with 12 beds, caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex needs. Ensures delivery of quality patient care, assigns and monitors staff, and contributes to performance evaluations. Assesses patient care needs, develops care assignments, and evaluates care effectiveness to meet desired outcomes. Responds to patient care concerns, manages complaints, and may assist with hiring, training, and staff development. Position Overview Provides leadership and coordinates staffing in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with 12 beds, caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex needs. Ensures delivery of quality patient care, assigns and monitors staff, and contributes to performance evaluations. Assesses patient care needs, develops care assignments, and evaluates care effectiveness to meet desired outcomes. Responds to patient care concerns, manages complaints, and may assist with hiring, training, and staff development. Qualifications & Skills Registered Nurse (RN) licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing. CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months depending on unit.
