About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Any state RN license acceptable; compact licenses are now accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, IV Start, Telemetry Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: EPIC experience is essential for this role. Certified in ACLS and BLS is required. Candidates must possess certifications in IV Start and Telemetry. The unit typically runs with a patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5. This is a 39-bed unit working with telemetry and surgical patients. Registered Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips. Duties will include floating to other units as needed. Expect assignments across multiple campuses within a reasonable distance. Travelers must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. There are no employee incentives for travelers. Candidates must complete a EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within a specified timeframe. Applicants must note that specific documentation requirements apply. Candidates should prepare to manage and care for a variety of patient diagnoses. Special procedures and equipment are handled within this progressive care unit. Interdisciplinary support services are available to assist in patient care. Daily census generally averages around 16 patients. This position requires performing a variety of clinical skills and procedures. Flexibility in scheduling and teamwork are essential qualities.
