You will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping to discourage security-related incidents. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen people, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry to shipping, receiving, dock, and/or distribution areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to trailer yards, loading areas, parking locations, and other high-traffic areas as directed by the site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, and/or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
