Position Overview The Cabinet Builder is responsible for handcrafting custom cabinetry from raw materials using detailed shop drawings. You will work with hardwoods, plywoods, and veneers to produce face-frame cabinets, specialty pieces, and built-ins. This role demands a high attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining top-tier quality. Key Responsibilities Build and assemble custom cabinets, built-ins, and millwork from raw materials. Read and interpret detailed shop drawings and cut lists accurately. Operate woodworking tools including table saws, planers, jointers, routers, and sanders. Perform precise cuts, joinery, and assembly using traditional methods (dado, mortise and tenon, dovetail, etc.). Inspect materials and finished products for accuracy and quality. Fit and assemble components using clamps, adhesives, fasteners, and cabinet hardware. Collaborate with designers and finishers to ensure flawless final products. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Meet production timelines without compromising craftsmanship. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in custom cabinet building or fine woodworking required. Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and measurements. Deep understanding of traditional cabinet construction and joinery. Skilled with hand and power woodworking tools. Reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in craftsmanship. Team player who communicates clearly and works well in a fast-paced shop. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
