Reading Interventionist

Job Summary Clinton Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Reading Interventionist to join our team on a full-time basis. Responsibilities Assess and identify students’ reading levels and specific areas of need through formal and informal assessments. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Provide direct, targeted reading instruction to students in small groups or one‑on‑one settings. Monitor and track student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate effective reading strategies into the general curriculum. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in reading instruction and intervention. Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding literacy instruction and intervention strategies. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education, Reading, Special Education, or a related field. Valid teaching certification PEL. Proven experience working with elementary‑aged students, particularly in reading intervention or special education settings. Strong knowledge of reading development, assessment tools, and intervention strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
