Role Overview: The Market Manager is responsible for leading Instant Offer Furniture's local operation and ensuring the market runs as a high-performing, profitable business unit. This is a hands‑on leadership role spanning showroom sales, warehouse operations, inventory flow, pickup and delivery logistics, team management, customer experience, and local cost control. The Market Manager serves as the primary owner of day‑to‑day execution in the local market and works closely with IOF leadership to hit market goals and continuously improve performance. The right candidate is highly operational, decisive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast‑moving environment. Key Responsibilities: Market Performance Own day‑to‑day performance of the local market, including revenue, gross profit, inventory velocity, labor efficiency, and controllable operating costs. Review performance against market goals and take action when the business is behind plan. Identify operational bottlenecks and solve problems before they become recurring issues. Showroom & Sales Maintain a clean, organized, well‑staged showroom that delivers a strong customer experience. Drive local sales through strong merchandising, pricing, customer service, and inventory turnover. Ensure online and in‑person sales are handled accurately through IOF and internal systems. Warehouse & Inventory Oversee the flow of inventory from arrival through cleaning, photography, listing, staging, sale, pickup, or delivery. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the physical warehouse matches system status. Keep the warehouse organized, safe, and efficient. Logistics & Contractors Manage pickup and delivery operations, including scheduling, routing, crew coordination, and service quality. Manage local moving contractors and hold partners accountable for reliability, professionalism, and performance. Resolve operational issues quickly while maintaining a strong customer experience. Lead, schedule, and develop the local team. Set clear priorities and hold employees and contractors accountable for execution. Create a high‑ownership culture focused on speed, accuracy, customer service, and results. Local Operations & HQ Communication Oversee the local facility, vendors, cash controls, and other local operating needs. Serve as the primary point of contact between the local operation and IOF leadership. Communicate key metrics, risks, staffing needs, and operating issues clearly and proactively. What Success Looks Like: Market consistently meets or exceeds revenue and profitability goals. Inventory moves quickly from arrival to sale with minimal operational backlog. The showroom and warehouse are consistently organized, accurate, and customer‑ready. Pickup and delivery operations run reliably with strong contractor performance. The local team operates with clear expectations and minimal day‑to‑day intervention from HQ. Customer issues are handled quickly and professionally. Ideal Candidate: Strong operator who is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing many moving pieces at once. High bias for action and strong problem‑solving judgment. Experience leading employees, contractors, or frontline teams. Comfortable owning results and making decisions in a fast‑paced environment. Hands‑on leadership style; willing to work in both showroom and warehouse environments. Experience in retail, warehouse operations, logistics, resale, furniture, moving, or other high‑velocity local operations is preferred but not required. Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think like the owner of the local operation. Compensation: $60,000-$80,000 annually, includes a base salary and monthly bonus opportunities 401(k): 3% company match.
