Recruiter – Professional Staffing Services Location: Glastonbury, CT (Hybrid Schedule) Compensation: $45,000–$55,000 base salary (DOE) + bonus and commission

Job Description

J. Morrissey is a growing staffing and recruiting firm and is seeking a motivated Recruiter to join our team and help drive hiring success for our clients while contributing to our growth plans. Position Overview

The Recruiter will manage the full-cycle recruitment process for temporary and professional-level positions. This role requires a relationship-driven professional with a sales-oriented mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys connecting top talent with exceptional career opportunities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, and motivated by achieving results while working as part of a collaborative, close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment from job intake through onboarding
• Create and post compelling job advertisements across multiple platforms
• Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, social media, hiring events, and other recruiting channels
• Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines across a variety of industries and skill sets
• Conduct phone screens and prescreen interviews to evaluate qualifications and fit
• Present qualified candidates to internal stakeholders and clients
• Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews
• Negotiate offers and communicate compensation details with candidates
• Initiate and support onboarding activities for new hires
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Attend networking and hiring events to promote the J. Morrissey brand and build talent pipelines
• Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Collaborate closely with team members to achieve recruiting goals and deliver exceptional service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in recruiting, sales, staffing, or a related customer-facing role
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Self-motivated with a competitive and results-driven mindset
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ATS and recruiting technologies preferred
