We aim to impact and revitalize communities through the development of education and other supportive partnerships.Job PurposeThe Information Technology (IT) Technician will report directly to the Senior IT Analyst and will also be customer service oriented in providing solutions to everyday technical needs at their assigned site. The IT Technician will maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, repair computer systems, hardware, computer peripherals, and assist with network troubleshooting. The IT Technician will also document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems as directed.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary technical point for all end users requesting technical assistance via helpdesk, in person and via email on issues related to computers, printers, peripherals, network connectivity and software supportSupport and configure multimedia, audio and signage software and hardware.Image/Clone systems for end usersSetup workstations with computers, phones and necessary peripheral devicesInstall and configure software and basic operations trainingAssist computer users with hardware and software questionsUpdate, Verify, and enter hardware assets in the inventory systemTroubleshoot and repair damaged hardwarePrepares various reports, as requiredReport and assist troubleshooting any networking, security camera, electrified door issues to direct supervisorEstablish good relationships with all end users, departments and colleaguesDirect and supervise IT interns as assignedOther responsibilities, as assignedMinimum RequirementsAssociate's Degree in Information Systems or related fieldExtensive technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, including Microsoft platformHands-on hardware troubleshooting experienceKnowledge of data processing terminology, symbols, and methodologyAbility to operate information systems input devicesAbility to prepare and install software and imagesAbility to occasionally drive to other school locationDesired Skills and TraitsEffective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to present ideas in user-friendly languageSelf-motivated and directedAnalytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong customer service orientationRequired Skills/AbilitiesExperience with computers and software applications.Proficiency with or the ability to learn current software and equipment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Physical demandsAbility to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objectsOccasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping and reaching for extended periods of timeOccasional computer work including but not limited to typingCompensation & BenefitsThis is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated administrator to assume a fundamental role in an innovative school environment.
