Our team is driven by excellence, integrity, and a passion for advancing aerospace technology.Take the next step in your career with a company committed to excellence, where your contributions are recognized, and your potential is realized.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled IT Help Desk Specialist with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing IT environments and proven knowledge of CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) frameworks. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience providing technical support, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, and supporting mission-critical systems in a regulated industry.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization.Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents in a timely manner, escalating complex issues when necessary.Maintain compliance with CMMC and NIST 800-171 requirements in daily IT operations.Support systems used in aerospace manufacturing, including ERP, MES, and CAD/CAM applications.Assist with audits, documentation, and reporting related to cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce security policies and procedures.Train and support end-users on secure IT practices and compliance requirements.Maintain accurate records of IT assets, tickets, and resolutions in help desk systems.Able to support on-site full-time in Ontario, CA.Occasional travel to alternate site in Riverside, CA.Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of IT help desk or technical support experience in a regulated industry (aerospace preferred).Strong knowledge of CMMC compliance levels and NIST cybersecurity standards.Experience supporting IT systems in manufacturing environments.Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and network troubleshooting.Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, Cloud-based, and endpoint security tools.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.Strong documentation and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing IT support.Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CISSP, or CMMC Assessor.Experience with ERP/MES systems and CAD/CAM software support.Knowledge of ITIL practices and help desk ticketing systems.Additional RequirementsMust have professional working proficiency reading, writing, and speaking EnglishAbility to work in office, lab, and manufacturing environments with occasional exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, industrial equipment, and temperature variationsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer workstationFrequent use of hands and fingers for data entry, keyboarding, and mouse useAbility to view computer screens for prolonged periodsAbility to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via emailAbility to use a computer to complete assignmentsJob DetailsType: Full Time, Non-ExemptHourly Pay Range: $36-40/hrBusiness Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-4pm EST + Every Friday Off (9/80 Schedule)Base Location: 100% on-site in Cape Canaveral, FLYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Total compensation will also include a comprehensive set of benefits including but not limited to: Company paid employee medical, dental and vision insurance. 401K company match (eligibility required), paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.Export Control Requirements: To conform to US Government export regulations, the applicant must be a (i) US Citizen, (ii) lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (aka green card holder), (iii) protected individual as defined by U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or (iv) eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.Canopy A&D is an Equal Opportunity Employer, employment with Canopy A&D is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
