Staff Accountant

Position Summary To support this growth, the company is seeking a Staff Accountant with experience working in a medium to large organization that operates with structured accounting processes, defined policies and procedures, and exposure to moderately complex accounting matters. The role offers a clear career path, with the anticipation that the right candidate can grow into an Accounting Manager position as the company continues to scale. Key Responsibilities General Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Assist with preparation of internal financial statements and reporting packages Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Process Improvement & Controls Help implement and maintain structured accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Assist leadership in building scalable accounting processes to support company growth Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and workflow automation Technical Accounting Support Support accounting for more complex transactions, including revenue recognition, accruals, and intercompany activity Research and document accounting treatments as needed Assist with audit preparation and external auditor support Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with operations, finance leadership, and department heads to ensure financial accuracy Support budgeting and forecasting efforts as needed Assist with special projects related to financial reporting and operational improvements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA or MBA strongly preferred 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience working in medium to large companies with defined accounting policies and procedures Exposure to more complex accounting environments and transactions Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems Ideal Candidate Profile Bring best practices from larger, structured accounting organizations Be comfortable operating in a growth-oriented company environmentHave the ability to balance technical accounting with operational execution Demonstrate leadership potential and the desire to grow into an Accounting Manager role #J-18808-Ljbffr
