Boys Hockey - Assistant Coach (Varsity)

Job Description Wakefield Memorial High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Boys Hockey program for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications MIAA Certified Coach / NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Varsity Coaching Experience Hockey background (playing or coaching) Excellent communication skills Passion and energy to promote Educational Athletics CPR / First Aid Certifications Responsibilities Coach individual participants in basic and advanced skills necessary for maximum individual achievement within the team setting. Provide leadership necessary to build a program ready for sustained success. Teach, monitor, and enforce appropriate standards of discipline and sportsmanlike behavior. Monitor adherence by athletes to the rules and regulations of the MIAA. Keep up to date with any necessary training for assigned sport. Attend regular coaches meetings organized by the Athletic Director to discuss expectations and guidelines of the Athletic Program. Create an environment where students are supported and encouraged to participate in the athletics program. Adhere to practice schedules, student practice rules, and medical compliance as required by the league.
