Warehouse Operation Manager

Summary This position is responsible for managing daily warehouse operations and customer service, including processing customer sales orders, overseeing picking and packing activities, and supervising and training employees and temporary employees. Warehouse activities include receiving, sorting, inspecting, packing, and shipping items. This position ensures efficient warehouse operations, appropriate staffing, and timely and accurate customer service. Responsibilities

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS & CUSTOMER SERVICE

Manages daily shipping arrangements and ensures shipments are processed accurately and on time. Establishes storage layouts and manages space requirements. Develops, updates, and implements standard operating procedures (SOPs). Coordinates with the Customer Service Department to facilitate efficient and smooth warehouse operations. Handles customer inquiries, order status updates, and shipping-related issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction. Manages daily manpower allocation and supervises and trains employees and temporary employees. Evaluates staffing needs and coordinates with senior management to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Prepares and sends invoices to customers, monitors payment status, and follows up on overdue payments. Analyzes, monitors, and improves warehouse operations to meet departmental productivity and quality goals. Oversees inventory counts, shipping, and receiving, and provides hands-on support as needed. Ensures all shipment-related documents are filed accurately and promptly. Manages inventory and ensures accurate inventory records.

Seeks continuous improvement and more efficient and cost-effective work processes. Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace. Resolves operational issues and escalates significant matters to senior management as needed. Maintains good communication with management, coworkers, and outside contacts. Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area and organizing data and documents. Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management. Qualifications Proficiency in Japanese and English required; Spanish language skills are a plus. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and more than three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of higher education and experience. Supervisory or management experience in warehouse operations, including staff supervision and training. Ability to manage daily warehouse operations and handle customer inquiries and operational issues. Ability to operate general office equipment, including phones, fax machines, copiers, computers, printers, and scanners. Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office. Forklift certification.
