Software Engineer

Job Title

Tech Stack: Javascript, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Typescript, Oracle, Mocha, Jest, AWS, Terraform, Python

Must Haves

• Javascript
• Node.js (does not need to be primary API framework/language), but needs some experience in
• REST API and microservices
• Modern UI framework/library (Angular preferred, React.js/Vue.js okay)
• Testing experience

Nice to Have

• IaC: Terraform with Python

Role Notes

• Converting a lot of code from Java/Spring boot to Javascript/Node.js/Express.js. Having some Java experience or knowledge would be great to help with that initiative
• Need to have basic cloud knowledge--they're using mostly out of the box managed AWS services so they can be taught, but basic familiarity and understanding is okay
• Heavier back-end position: 70% back-end 30% front-end. All internal-facing applications so UI isn't as important
• Testing the code--automation scripting. Mocha, Jest, Karma--can train on the tools. Code coverage, unit testing and then testing the code as a whole. Functional testing is done by QA
• Heavily involved in building API/back-end within their business unit, but developed in a way that broader business units can utilize. 10% are reusable services other teams are incorporating.

Experience Level

Mid-level, if he had to pinpoint, between 4-6 years' experience. Should be targeting an L4 here

IV Process

30 minute meeting with Ramkumar 1st round, second round with his team for 1 hour. Open to cutting out first round if we screen.
