Technical Targeting Officer

Overview
VTG is seeking Technical Targeting Officer to support our Client’s challenging operational requirements at multiple locations in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
What will you do?Successful candidates will support cutting-edge intelligence operations using specialized, state-of-the-art tools and technologies while working in an integrated government-contractor team. Responsibilities include technical research using customer tools, technical analysis, report writing, operational concept development, stakeholder engagement and the presentation of reports to all levels of customer management. This work is increasingly complex and highly dynamic. It affords the successful candidate considerable opportunity to address high-profile intelligence issues and apply the full-range of analytic tradecraft to sophisticated and challenging worldwide missions.
Technical Targeting Officers must be able to think critically and communicate highly complex technical information accurately and clearly while also working collaboratively in a team environment. Candidates should be comfortable with drafting and disseminating written reports and requests for information.

- Bachelor’s degree and

- 7-12 years of applicable experience (Level 3)
- 12-20 years of applicable experience (Level 4)
- 20+ years of applicable experience (Level 5)

- Cable writing experience
- Ability to identify and assess the right entities and the right vulnerabilities and technology trends to enable new collection operations
- Ability to confidently deliver clear and concise briefings
- Strong analytic, research, and investigative skills combined with ops sense, personal initiative, and some technical expertise
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
- Experience identifying targeting leads through the exploitation of all-source databases and specialized tools
- Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices
- Formal training or certification as a Technical Targeter
- Overseas experience supporting collection operations and information sharing
- Active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph at the time of application
