Operations Manager Trainee

Operations Management Trainee – Warwick, RI The Operations Management Trainee will support the shop management process and assist in cost savings, customer retention, and metric‑based initiatives. The program is fast‑paced, touching every aspect of the business unit and provides industry knowledge, skills, and resources to develop an operations and fleet maintenance background. Potential progression is to Operations Supervisor. Location & Schedule Warwick, RI • Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 6:30pm (hours may adjust as training progresses). Responsibilities Provide quality customer interface, proactive management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the rental department to ensure maximum utilization without compromising lease customers. Partner with Sales staff on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction. Manage running costs and maintenance overheads. Ensure policies and processes are followed to optimize running costs and maintenance. Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure accurate preventive maintenance scheduling, follow‑up on breakdowns and vehicle status updates; oversee Technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility. Relocate within the business unit at the conclusion of the training program (required). Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's Degree (required). 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution experience (preferred). Strong PC knowledge: spreadsheets and word processing (advanced required). Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls and metrics (beginner required). Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices (required). Strong verbal and written communication skills (required). Instills commitment to organizational goals (required). Capable of multitasking, highly organized, excellent time management (required). Prioritizes work effectively (required). Flexible, self‑driven, thrives in a fast‑paced environment (required). Works independently and as part of a team (required). Compensation Annual salary range: $60,000 – $61,000, paid weekly. Compensation may be influenced by experience, education, and internal equity.
