Job Responsibilities

• Accreditation & Compliance: Serves as a primary liaison to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Oversees site visits, self-studies, and the Annual Institutional Review (AIR).
• Committee Leadership: Manages the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) which is led by the DIO, collaborating with the DIO to set institutional policies and monitor program performance.
• Fiscal Management: Develops and monitors multimillion-dollar budgets, including resident salaries, faculty time, and educational resources. Maximizes educational funding through Medicare reimbursement (IRIS) reporting.
• Operational Oversight: Supervises GME office staff and program coordinators.
• Trainee & Faculty Support: Oversees resident onboarding, wellness initiatives, and disciplinary/remediation processes. Coordinates faculty development to ensure teaching excellence.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborates with the DIO to identify opportunities for new programs or changes in trainee complements based on workforce needs.
• Administrative executive lead for the SLTC: responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing educational programs that train residents, fellows, and surgeons using human cadaveric tissue, anatomical models, or advanced virtual reality technology.
