Location: Corning, NY

Hourly rate: $30.50- $36.00 . OT after 8 hours of travel and work time, double time after 10 hours each day. Saturday work 0-10 hours is paid at time and a half and Sunday work is double time. All travel is also paid.

Travel: Position is road/client based, most travel is within home territory; however technicians may be called to support other teams/clients as needed. Technicians are allowed to book work-related flights and rooms directly for reimbursement so they can collect points.

Advancement & Training Opportunities: Yes, after one year of satisfactory service, technicians may be eligible for additional training opportunities such as PLC, FANUC, panel automated shelving, additional electrical and leadership training etc. Internal employees are also eligible for promotions and advancement.

Education: HSD/GED or equivalent is required, vocational or technical school degree is preferred

• Experience: 3 - 5 years minimum FANUC programming & troubleshooting experience flexibility to travel and work when customers need assistance is required this may include some overnights and weekends, as required.? Must be able to communicate with customers and management in both written and verbal form. Must be able to stand/bend for up to 8 hours and lift-up to 50lbs to shoulder height.?

Job Summary

Join Adaptec Solutions as an Automation Technician! Work hands-on with conveyors, robotics, and packaging equipment across customer sites. Solve complex technical problems, troubleshoot and repair systems, and grow your automation skills with FANUC training and certification programs. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated systems (conveyors, robots, wrappers, etc.)
• Program, remaster, and support FANUC robots
• Replace motors, gearboxes, servos, amplifiers, and other components
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Document work and manage work orders in E-360
• Upload programming backups in shared drives
• Provide remote support and coordinate with engineering teams
• Travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, and repairs

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years FANUC programming & troubleshooting experience
• Electrical skills: 480V systems, servo motors, 24V controls, sensors, photo eyes, limit switches
• Mechanical experience with motors, gearboxes, and automation components
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic prints
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Comfortable in temperature extremes (freezers, paint booths)
• High school diploma/GED required; trade/technical school preferred
• FANUC certification preferred (training provided)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
• Must be able to pass DOT physical.
• Must be able to attend emergency calls as needed, this may require overnight travel for field service work, preventative maintenance visits, equipment installation and troubleshooting (all travel is paid time)
• May be required to travel outside of home territory to assist other teams and customers as needed.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with the customer and managers
• Must have basic hand tools (Adaptec will provide additional tools)
• Must have computer skills, experience turning in field service reports is strongly preferred
• Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the wage range for this role is $30.50 – 36.00/hr . The rate range provided is a general guideline.
