Work Environment

The Urgent Care clinic in Houston operates onsite and offers a dynamic work setting that requires adaptability and team collaboration. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and resources that enable our healthcare professionals to provide quick and effective care. You will be working a scheduled shift from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, taking detailed histories and reviewing medical records to inform diagnosis.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as blood work, X-rays, and imaging studies to assess patient conditions.
• Diagnose and manage various acute illnesses and injuries, employing clinical judgment to recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment regimens for patients with chronic diseases, actively monitoring their progress.
• Prescribe medications, ensure their safe usage, and regularly assess their therapeutic effectiveness.
• Keep meticulous patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families about health issues, preventive measures, and overall wellness strategies.
• Advocate for healthy lifestyle changes and chronic disease prevention in community and patient interactions.
• Participate in ongoing professional training and engage in peer collaborative learning opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily serving a diverse population that seeks urgent care for a range of health issues, from minor injuries to acute medical conditions. Our clinic focuses on delivering patient-centric care, ensuring each individual feels heard and valued within their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program and a Master's degree in relevant healthcare education.
• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of Texas, which is a prerequisite for practice.
• DEA registration for prescribing medications.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a fast-paced setting, such as urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Solid understanding of health regulations and patient care protocols.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a high-volume urgent care or emergency department environment is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in primary and acute care practices, including the ability to manage diverse health issues.
• Fluency in a second language is a plus, enhancing communication with a broader patient demographic.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
