LGM Values: Do the Right Thing, Take Care of Each Other, Find a Way, Lead, Be the BestResponsibilities:Promote, work and act in a manner consistent with the values of LGM.Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and post journal entries.Perform balancing and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, documenting results.Identify, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.Compiles financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of financial reports.Participate in regular meetings with appropriate course managers to review year-to-date financial information.Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital accounts to prepare balance sheets and other reports utilized in interpreting current/projected financial positions.Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, formally documenting results.Monitoring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Company policies, and client policies. Prepare and file sales tax, use tax, and personal property tax returns in various states. May prepare or assist with preparation of other federal, state and local tax returns.Assist General Managers and course personnel in understanding the recognition requirements involved in accrual-based accounting.Review new agreements to ensure proper accounting.Assist with preparation of annual audit and audit report.Assist with preparation of annual budgets.Demonstrate a commitment to the work and success of the Company and clients by being service and solution oriented, having positive interactions with clients/managers/co-workers, and meeting established expectations for accuracy, service and timeliness.Regular and punctual attendance at designated work location is required.Complete other assignments and duties as requested or directed by managers or officers of the Company.Requirements:Qualifications:Thorough understanding and proven ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles to work functions.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages or other figures accurately and quickly.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities to meet Company and client expectations. Self starter with high levels of organization and initiative to follow through on work projects.Demonstrate business judgment and ability to identify and solve problems, understanding the business implications of a decision.Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Applies feedback to improve performance. Monitors own work to ensure quality.Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in written, verbal, and oral forums.High degree of professionalism and integrity is required to inspire trust of others.Demonstrates a sense of ownership in the work and a commitment to the success of the Company and its clients.Minimum of intermediate Excel skills required.Education:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field of studyNetsuite/Oracle experience a plus
