Certified Medical AssistantThe Certified Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant, assists physicians and professional staff with delegated responsibilities to provide quality services to all customers.Minimum qualifications include a BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross and meeting one of the following:Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing and maintain a current state license of practical nursing.Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by "The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).Preferred qualifications include previous experience in a clinic setting.Essential duties include assisting the medical staff to help patients maintain health or promote healing, performing technical skills specific to assigned service area, providing quality service to all internal customers, providing excellent customer service to patients, families and internal contacts using AIDET, accepting responsibility for professional growth and continuing education, accepting responsibility and assuring quality, cost effective patient care, accepting responsibility for communication with all customers, and performing all other related duties as assigned.About UsAt HealthPartners we believe in the power of good – good deeds and good people working together.
